Need Banana Leaves

I am looking to buy banana leaves for a pork dish I want to make. Can anyone suggest a place to buy them on the Peninsula? Thanks for the help!

Just got some frozen banana leaves in the city, in the Mission. There's a great multicultural market at the corner of 18th and Mission, called Duc Loi Supermarket.

I know I'm late to reply to this thread, and that you were looking for a source on the Peninsula, but the thread came up when I searched for "banana leaves in san francisco", so I thought I'd leave the info for future searchers.

Casa Lucas on 24th near Bryant has them fresh(?), they're not frozen, although they are adjacent to the frozen section rather than with the produce.

I just bought some. Got two huge banana leaves in the freezer section at Ranch 99. They were like $2. Couldn't find Ti leaves though. I made Kalua Pig in a giant roaster and boy was it good.

Casteneda's in Windsor has them fresh.

Berkley Bowl West had them last Friday, fresh.

Note that for certain applications the leaves need to be toasted. The frozen ones usually are already toasted. For fresh, that's an extra step.

                  Or Mexican grocers.

A 99 ranch should have some in the freezer.
