ISO: Salsa Lizano (from Costa Rica) in Toronto

atomeyes Jun 8, 2009 05:16 PM

While in Costa Rica, we fell in love with Lizano. Great on meat, great on wild rice, great on eggs.

Think of an HP sauce, but tastier.

Any idea if its available anywhere in Toronto?

A little shop on the ground floor of the SLM has it.
I love this stuff too. I put a great big dollop of it in my chili.

There is a store at danforth and chster (chester subway) called
          Taste the 4th Sense
          375 Danforth Avenue

they carry it as well but beware it will cost you much more than if you bought it from highland farms. i only list it as convenience if you dont have an HF near you. at HF i think i paid around 5 bucks at taste, you are looking at about 19 they claim to be the only supplier of lizano's.

In the past I've seen it at Highland Farms. Specifically the one on Dufferin near Steeles. There's a section that has a lot of Latin American imports.
