Atelier Thuet in Liberty Village: Renovation?

Walked past Thuet's Atelier in Liberty Village yesterday - and it was shut down. Take out/gourmet shop next door was open but the restaurant itself was closed (all the furniture gone too). Anyone know what's going on?

      Though based on our last visit there - I think the poor service and poor mgt (always out of stock on something we wanted to order) were also contributing factors.

        One of those chicken and egg things... not enough patrons = lower tips = non-motovated servers = less patrons = less food sales = less stock in house (to make sure its fresh and avoid waste) = out of stock (when a couple of more people then usual order it) = pissed off patrons = lower tips and around it goes..

        They are putting their bread oven in the Store side in public view so you can go and buy fresh out of the oven bread and croissants...

          Great - thx for the info.
          Noticed they were re-arranging on the other side - I still think they have the best croissant in town.

            I believe that the bread oven/bread production was on the other side behind the restaurant/bar. Atelier was always two units and getting rid of that unit would result in having to move the oven to the store side.

            I've asked them about placing orders for things they may have sold out or don't have on a daily basis and you can place an order for practically anything with them: cakes, tarts, those almond croissants filled w/ pastry cream *drool*, breads, litres of their french onion soup.....
