Red Rooster - Brewster, NY - Ice Cream Cake?

HunterJay Jun 8, 2009 01:46 PM

Has anyone ever had an ice cream cake from Red Rooster in Brewster? If so, how does it compare to Carvel? And most importantly, does it have crunchies? Thanks.

They dont have ice cream cakes, they have normal icecream which i have to say is berrter then carvel. You should eat there it SO good kinda expensive but so worth it. I go there all the time since i live right across from it

Well, I gave them a call to check. They do have ice cream cakes (and they have crunchies in the middle!). 8", 9", & 10". Guess I'll be picking one up for the weekend. Hopefully it's as good as their ice cream - I'll let you know.

ditto...never saw a cake there (but also maybe too busy eating ice cream to notice)

the ice cream stand on route 7 in ridgefield (across from Pamby Motors) DOES make a good ice cream cake, although I don't know if they have crunchies on it...but they have crunchies, so they could probably add them, right? and it's not SO far from red rooster...

Umm..the Red Rooster doesn't serve ice cream cakes that I know of. Or at least I should say that in the almost 20 years I've been going there, I've never seen anyone eat an ice cream cake, or get 1 for take out. They have ice cream, shakes, soft serve and other ice cream desserts, just not cake.

Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong however. Perhaps I can't see the cakes as I'm too busy wolfing down my burger/dog/fries/milkshake/chicken sandwich or whatever else I have in my hands.
