Myrtle Beach / Murrell's Inlet
I will be in South Myrtle Beach and am looking for some goos food suggestions. I like real seafood, Italian and anything interesting. I have heard that Murrell's Inlet has a few good restrurants. All suggestions will be appreciated.
I had three great meals in Murrells Inlet this week.
Wednesday we did Happy Bird/ Early Hour at Salt Creek Cafe. We had Calamari & Homemade Potato Chips to start. Son had the cheese pizza, Hubby had Shrimp Po Boy. I had the Cluck Cluck which is fried chicken Livers over grit cakes with a pan gravy.I also had a bloody Mary and hubby had two beers and cheesecake....for under 50.00 with tip!!!
I have never had a bad meal or service here. The best part is the menu is eclectic enough everyone is happy.
The we had dinner at Prossers one night. Great food. Just a little dive with awesome buffet of home cooked type food and seafood. The sweet tea is out of this world! And the fried chicken...omg!
On Sunday we had brunch at Capt Dave's Dockside. Beautiful view of the marsh walk with top notch service. The buffet is upscale but very reasonable. Peel and eat shrimp, fried chicken, eggs benedict, pancakes, prime rib, omelets, fried shrimp, salads, etc....they usually have about thirty different things.and lovely desserts....coconut cake, chocolate cake, fruit, cookies, banana pudding. And although the place is nice you will see people from Sunday best to tourist shorts / ts and it makes no difference.
We are locals and don't usually eat out three times in a weekend but this week end I am glad we did!
