Good makkoli / makgeolli?

Are there any places that serve really good makkoli (Korean milky rice wine)? The best I've had was a homemade version at Hangawi in NYC. Most places seem to have only mass produced makgeolli, which is usually pretty harsh and unpleasant.

  1. i'm fairly certain it's freshly made at Dan Sung Sa. Love that place just to eat all the rustic Korean foods along with some soju and makkoli.

      Thanks. I love Dan Sung Sa too (their grilled hagfish is amazing) but I had assumed their makkoli would be the bottled type. Next time I'm there I'll make it a point to ask.
