Lucky's Lounge - Waterfront
I just have to report something. I am new to Boston and am fumbling around in the dark about where to eat and drink. My wife and I went into the city last week and I went to a place called Lucky's Lounge (on Congress in the Waterfront). There is no sign or really a visible door. It reminded me of the speak easies in Los Angeles (and Chicago for that matter), where I'm from, so I had to try the place. Great vibe inside with a stellar bar (2 sides) and live music.
Here's the kicker though. I tried the food...it was awesome! I looked at the menu and it all looked great. I had bacon wrapped meatloaf with mash. Everything was a homerun. Definitely not pub grub here; well beyond. They do a brunch and have Sinatra night on Sunday. I'll have to try this out!!

We hit Lucky's when we're down in the area to go to Drink. Have a cocktail at Drink, walk across the street for a duck burger, then back to Drink for an aperitif. Perfect!

re: litchick
Litchick-thats my favorite evening on Fort Point!! Drink and Luckys-great combination!
Keith- Their Sinatra Sundays (brunch and evening) are really fun-they have some great musicians. Actually they have some great bands come in during the week as well which are fun to check out.

The fish tacos there are actually pretty good too. In that area I'd recommend Flour (sandwhichs and baked goods) and the Channel Cafe (lunch and dinner) too. They don't have the speakeasy feel but Channel Cafe is a really cool space, and old warehouse below street grade that has galleries.
