I am bored of my usual work-lunch spots and need some help!

I need a healthy option - maybe a nice big salad - in Stamford for take-out.

Whatcha' got for me?

Scratch Margot's from the list--it's out of business as of this past weekend.

          I saw that, huge bummer.

      2. Thanks - I think I'll give Myrna's a try next week! I've driven by there a bunch but have never stopped.

Ended up at City Limits out of convenience.

        1. if you can abide the chaos behind the counter at lunchtime, Phil creates some imaginative salads at Katie's Gourmet on Bank St. Some complain it's pricey, but top, fresh ingredients.

His Thai Beef salad is sensational, but not available every day. Also a nice nova salad.

          1. I really love the Pistachio Crusted Chicken salad from Telluride. Cheaper options to be had at Lucky's.../the Marquee Salad there is very good.

If you travel to New Canaan, Le Pain Quotidien has outstanding salads, caloric levels are indicated on the menu.

            1. Sergio's & 19th Hole have really good salads. Simple, but good.

              1. Try Sundance Cafe for their 'make your own' salads. You pick the ingredients. But watch out, if you add too many ingredients the price can really add up. They also have soome healthy sandwiches. Either way, it's a cute cafe, and the owners seem nice, so it's worth a lunch. It's at 105 Broad St across from McDonald's.

Sundance is no longer. Such a shame. Was a great place for breakfast too.

RIP Sundance. It was the best downtown.

Fairway tosses custom salads at their Salad Stand in the Cafe. Plus there's a comfortable seating area... including an outdoor patio for the warmer months....

and at the deli counter you can pick up the best smoked fish in all of Fairfield Cty -- hand sliced wafer thin, as you wait.

                2. Top This on Atlantic. Much better than Sundance ever was!
