We just ate there.

I would rate the place as 9 out of 10 stars, if comparing it to all restaurants.

Within just the genre of high quality/ high end restaurants, I would not go that far. I would give it a 6 out of 10.

The downside includes the atmosphere. The place was just too noisy. I don't find that conducive to a pleasant meal. I know that a bunch of high end places are noisy, but it is not something that I particularly like.

The maitre d was kind of cold, even arrogant. She was completely professional, but lacking any real warmth.

The wait staff was very good, but young. Our waitress was very nice and tried very hard, but really did not meet the standard that I would like to see in a high end restaurant.

Food, of course, was great.

For appetizers we had the lobster crab cake and a soup - sorry, but I forget which one.

The lobster crab cake was interesting and fine, but not outstanding and "something to write home about." The soup was just that. It was a very high quality dish.

For entrees we had the Kobe steak and my gal had the lobster tail and Kobe steak. The steak was indeed excellent, but the lobster was nothing that special.

For dessert, we had the Baked Alaska and the Chocolate Butterscotch Layer Cake. But were very good, but, again, not entirely the "blow-away" dessert I would expect from a chef with Bobby Flay's reputation. The portions were large, the desserts were very very rich...really like overkill.

I have had food from relatives where every single dish over the meal...maybe 4 or 5 courses, was entirely "mind blowing" food, in taste. I really can't understand why a very high quality restaurant can't deliver the same, or...at least, can't deliver, say, 70% of the dishes at that level of quality.

Not to say that is was bad...hardly the case. It was excellent, but again...not completely the mind-blowing experience I would expect. And the atmosphere was, to my mind, not fully up to par.
