Staying in Northbrook, and need a recommendation for Sunday night. Looking for casual, but interesting and well-crafted. We love Avec, ie good food, but not formal.

I second Prairie Grass. Great place with great food. Or 10 minutes away at the Westin Hotel in Wheeling you have Tramontos Seafood and Steak (Rick Tramonto of Tru downtown). They also had a great Italian restaurant there, but it is closed for rennovations.
