My wife and I are meeting some friends at Centennial Park for a picnic in Columbia on Sunday. We were looking for someplace that does good deli sandwiches. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

My favorite lunchtime deli near Centennial Park in the Columbia/Ellicott City area is Sindy’s on MD 108, but I’m not sure of their Sunday hours, or if they are even open on Sunday. On US 40 in the Normandy Shopping Center is Nora’s Café & Bakery, which is very good and does a lot of carryout business (www.thenoracafe.com). The Double T Diner, across from the Enchanted Forest on US 40 will pack a picnic lunch and has terrific desserts. If you’re running late and need it fast, there is an Arby’s on Centennial Lane @ US 40 that actually has some decent sandwiches on the menu.

I don't think Sindy's is open on Sundays, it doesn't look open when I've driven by.
I totally agree with your recommendation of Nora's Cafe - our new favorite place
      for a sandwich!!!

We often go to Charter Deli on Charter Drive near Howard County Hospital. Very good sandwiches and friendly staff.
