Penang Malaysian coming to Plainsboro NJ?

My wife saw a sign up in the shopping center where the Asian Food Market is on Plainsboro Road... Penang Malaysian & Thai Cuisine coming soon. I believe this is the mini-chain that has other restaurants in New Jersey, New York, and other mid-atlantic states: http://www.penangcuisine.com/

Update: OK, this is strange. Did a drive-by yesterday and there are two signs: "Welcome Penang" (from the management company), but the main sign above the restaurant says it's a Bangkok-Style Thai Restaurant. So, maybe it's a Thai restaurant from the Penang people. This is good news if it's good. There are no decent Thai restaurants to be found in this area.

Penang does have a Thai section in their menu in all their locations. So I don't think it will be different from the other locations.

Sorry I wasn't clear... The name of the restaurant on the main sign is not "Penang", it's something else (can't remember name), with smaller lettering beneath saying it's Bangkok-Style Thai.

Rhong-Tiam "Bankok Way of Cooking." Appears to be from NYC; owner has taken over an old Penang location in the city, and it appears the same thing is happening here, only before Penang ever opened...NYT wrote about it favorably in their $25 and Under column in June 2008. Cross your fingers!

I just checked out their NYC menus. Not very Thai at all... lots of Malaysian dishes, with Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Thai thrown in.

It's called Rhong-Tiam, but it's associated with the Penang group.

The new location in Plainsboro will be opening by the end of the year.

Are they just moving from their location in Princeton? That seems to be a strange move, since they're right on Nassau Park Blvd. I wouldn't think they would want two locations that close together.

it kind of make sense since their is no Asian restaurant to eat before/after you shop at the Asian Food Market. It's kind of like how they have a location right next to Kam Man on Rt 1, Edison.
