Blackwood's Dry Gin, from the Sheltand Islands

While on vacation in the northern Highlands, I have come across Blackwood's Dry Gin, which is distilled in the Shetland Islands. I was wondering how it compares to Hendrick's, the other gin distilled in Scotland. Has anyone tried either or both?

  1. Blackwoods gin is less herbal and has a very clean taste. Very good. They also have a vodka and a vodka cream (tastes like melted vanilla ice cream). My understanding is they are doing this to finance a whisky project but obviously need cash flow while the whisky ages.
