Sunday Lunch not Brunch in Pasadena

I haven't been to Pasadena for over a year, will be going to the Rose Bowl next weekend. I'd like to surprise hubby with a nice lunch after he walks around with me all morning at the swap meet.

We both love Parkway Grill, but I wanted to try something new. What are your suggestions?

Thanks so much!

  1. The sandwiches are Europane Bakery are very good, especially the egg salad. You could also pick up some of their very well received pastries to take home. I'm guessing you probably want to go the restaurant route though, so I would recommend Le Grande Orange near the Del Mar Gold Line station.
Daisy Mint might also be a good option. The food is Asian fusion and the space, although a little small is pleasant

La Grande Orange is actually AT the Gold Line station - it's in the old train station building. It's architecturally appealing and the service is good, but for actual eating (and lower noise level) I would recommend Central Park Cafe, directly across Central Park from LGO.

Enthusiastically second Daisy Mint! 1218 E, Colorado.

    2. A couple of good recs already. If you want to go a bit farther east in Pasadena, there's Cafe Verde on Green Street. While I think they call it "brunch," it's because the menu has some breakfast items and some lunch items. Here's a link to page 2 of the brunch menu (page 1 has all the breakfast stuff).
