Will miss it also. Great food, great owners, one of Saratoga's signature gourmet restaurants

This is a huge loss for Saratoga. Sophie goes back to the early 70s. I will miss it.

I have remembrances of the restaurant when it was out near Sacandaga, on Caroline St., where the Children's Museum is now located, the silver diner and the current location. One memory is going there with a friend in the '70's. She had the temerity to ask the server for some salt & pepper, as there was none on the table. Sophie herself came out of the kitchen to thoroughly berate and chastise my friend for asking for additional seasoning, since the food was perfectly seasoned as prepared, or words to that effect.

Similar memory... a friend asked for sauce on the side.
