we have some friends coming to town and need some recommendations: does anyone know a good spot that has a variety of organic and free-range (meat) options????

i have heard of O Burger (in west hollywood) and Local (in silverlake)... any other recommendations?

willing to drive, although i'd like to keep it closer to downtown and pasadena than the westside...

please please help!! :)

Most of the market-driven places in town use free range meats. They just taste better. A lot of places use Niman because the quality is consistent.

    Can you be more specific?

Izakaya Bincho Redondo Beach uses Jidori free-range chicken in all of their chicken-based concoctions, as does Torihei in Torrance.

I recently went looking for a grass-fed steak downtown (with no luck), but came across these during my search:

www.magnoliala.com -- downtown and hollywood; organic veggies and free-range chicken per menu

www.bluevelvetrestaurant.com -- downtown, organic chicken per menu

          Good luck.
