Cooking Class and/or Food Tour in St. Petersburg/Moscow?

I'm traveling to St. Petersburg and Moscow in July this year and would love to try a day course in Russian cooking in either city.....and/or a foodie tour of either city. Is there such a thing? Looking forward to any information.

TIA.

    1. Hello Tia,

I am thinking of traveling to Moscow to do a cooking course & learn a bit about Russian & Near Eastern cuisine. How did you get on? Did you find what you were looking for? I would really appreciate any suggestions.

      Kind regards,

No, I never did find a course to take. I went anyway and ate some delicious food in restaurants at least! :) Good luck on your search and please post if you do have better luck than I did.

Would you mind sharing your opinions and recommendations? I will be heading to Moscow in May. Did you eat any street food while there?

For the most part, Russia doesn't have a whole lot of "street food." There are some chains that serve bliny, and there's also "kroshka kartoshka" which serves potatoes stuffed with various salads/sauces, but neither of those are anything special (although they are very cheap...).
