Recs for the best upscale, "four star" lunch in NYC. We have an anniversary to celebrate. Wanted to have lunch at Daniel, but they don't serve lunch. Thanks.

I LOVE Chanterelle and would absolutely recommend it for a fabulous lunch. I mean a totally unique and amazing dining experience. This would be my pick, hands down!

I agree that Chanterelle is a wonderful place for a celebratory meal, which is why I included it on my list. Not only is the cuisine superb and service first-rate, but the ambiance is especially lovely. Understated elegant decor and very widely-spaced tables.
