Places to eat June 14th, Shedd, Ogilvie, Belmont & Clark ?
We are taking our kids (10 & 18) down to Chicago from Kenosha on Sunday June 14th. We were going to take the Metra down. We will either get off Metra at Ogilvie or transfer to the L trains to stop by Belmont & Clark at some point while we are in town. Our itinerary includes Shedd, maybe Navy Pier and Belmont & Clark area to hit a couple of stores up there.
The last day of the Blues event in Grant park is that day so we want to try to avoid really long waits and big crowds at dinner.
I have a couple of dietary restrictions. I have a wheat intolerance (not celiac) so I need to be able to find something sans wheat. I also can't eat anything with sodium nitrate in it so that nixes things like hot dogs and bacon. I read through the boards and it mentioned Lou Malnati's has a no wheat (sausage crust) pizza but was concerned it might be overcrowded due to the concerts in Grant Park.
Both kids are rather adventurous regarding food but we will be under dressed for anything formal.
