Seattle Birthday Dinner - Great Food with a Fun, Relaxed Atmosphere

  • 2

I'm trying to find a place to celebrate my husband's birthday during our visit to Seattle in late June. I'd like to find a really great foodie type place that has a fun, relaxed atmosphere. It will be on a Saturday night, and since my top choice downtown hotels were fully booked that weekend, I probably need to find a place that takes reservations. I've read various recs for Union, Lark, Boat Street Cafe, Crush, Dahlias, Harvest Wine, How to Cook a Wolf and Restaurant Zoe, but I'm not sure if they are what I'm looking for. Any thoughts? I'm having a really hard time figuring out where to go and would love any recommendations that you all may have.

  1. I think Boat St. comes closest to what you say you are looking for. Ray's Boathouse also comes to mind, and you sure can't beat the view. Our friends from IL were here for 8 days and ate at numerous places. Dahlia Lounge turned out to be their favorite.

    1. I had an outstanding meal at Zoe last week. The service was perfect, the food was great. If they still have the fresh morel salad available, it is a real winner.
