PRINTING RECIPES

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ.
I JUST SPENT 5 PAGES & INK TO PRODUCE A BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN RECIPE...5 PAGES!!!!!!!
I KNOW YOU WANT TO BE AN INDUSTRY LEADER & AT THE TOP OF YOUR FIELD, BUT 5 PAGES TO PRINT OUT A RECIPE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE ON ONE?!?!? IT MAY BE DESIGNER CUTESIE TO DO A RECIPE WITH 1.75''
COLUMN WIDTH & A 4th GRADE ILLUSTRATION BUT IT DOESN'T DO YOUR READERS CRAP WHEN THEY GOTTA PRINT IT...WE DON'T MAKE THE MONEY YOU DO SO THINK ABOUT US TRYING TO USE YOUR RECIPES & PRINTING THEM OUT...

    1. Did Chowhound respond to this complaint? printing recipes is pretty terrible ... very unsophisticated technology. i usually just forget about printing it and go to other websites to get recipes which are easily printed. There are dozens of them. is Chowhound going to fix this problem?

I know it's on the list of things for Engineering to work on, but I'm not sure how high up the list.

In the interim, when I want to print a recipe, I select just the text of the recipe, and then select print, and when the dialogue box opens, I switch to 'selection', and print just that small part. A proper print style sheet would obviously be better, but that's the best workaround I've found.

That is the best idea I've heard in a long time!
I've had the same complaint, but now, with your solution...that is exactly what I need.

              - Thanks! :-)

Yes, it's absolutely terrible. Totally agree. Recipe printing should be fixed within a couple of weeks.

                • Just tried the new Print Recipe link and it worked like a charm (for the Tiramisu Dip).

Looks like it will be a great feature!
