downtown knoxville help

i will be in town next week for a concert and a bunch us want to hit a good bar with decent food and a decent beer selection.
any suggestions?

You can find more about Sunspot on myspace. I really like it. Not a beer drinker but I think they are having a yuengling (not sure about the special ) dinner sometime soon.

On Cumberland which is also called The Strip and which runs parallel to the UT campus, try the SunSpot-has vegetarian as well as meat eater choices and a fun bar area. It is not a chain. There is Mellow Mushroom and other chain places on Cumberland. There is a trolley that runs between UT and downtown. It think it is free or maybe 50 cents. They are burgundy colored and look like a trolley so you can't miss seeing them. It is only 2 miles from UT to Gay Street and Market Square which are the heart of downtown. There is a brewery on Gay Street and several fun places on Market Square.

I like Barley's a lot. Good food and a strong beer selection.

Barleys looks perfect but we were looking for something a little closer to the basketball arena, there will probably be 20+ in our group and we want to be close by.
