I read the shrimp cakes are great...better than Sri Sriam? How are their curries? Which would you recommend?
Shrimp cakes are very good, but the soups are kind of delicate and the spring rolls are just not very good. I tried it last month and I still prefer Sanamluang down the street...
I really like their stuffed chicken wings, (angel wings) with panang curry on top.
I'm pretty happy with their yellow/red curries, but prefer to take them home so I can dip them in bread I get from Ba Le bakery :)
Also happy with: pad thai, tri flavored fish (sorry don't remember exact item name), tom yum noodles
Fish cakes - bad.Shrimp cakes - awful.Panang curry - pretty good.
Next time if you go, try the Crispy Duck with Panang Curry. If it's done right, the duck is crispy and moist and well flavored with the panang curry
I don't eat red meat or poultry and definitely won't be back at RCA.
i liked this place for the starters, but my pad se ew was not spectacular. i probably won't be back.
I like their crab pad thai, crispy ducks larb, giant shrimp with coconut curry sauce. I also like their their steamed seafood cake but if you get it don't get the giant shrimp because the viscous curry tastes similar and it's very rich.
> the spicy crispy catfish !! only a few thai places have this. (looks like a sponge , over sliced green apples)> get the basil mint leaf.. but with crispy pork
gotta get the stuff u dont see at other thai restaurants.
I go there for the salads.
Raw shrimp salad (like an insanely spicy shrimp ceviche) and the papaya salad.
