Looking for great sushi in Stamford area

I am looking for a great sushi place in the Stamford area so that I can take some friends out to dinner. The only place that I know of is Dynasty chinese, and I would like to go somewhere much better.

Definitally try Kiku up on Hope St. & Duo downtown., Duo is more expensive, but both use wayy fresher fish & better presentation than Dynasty.

It gets mixed reviews here for its lack of authenticity, and I'll probably be flamed by someone for it, but I happen to think the quality of fish at Matsuri, on the Post Rd in Darien is as good or better than anyplace else I've been in CT. Some complain the presentation is inauthentic, and occasionally nouveau, but that doesn't bother me, personally, and as a sashimi eater, there isn't much you can do to muck up good fish, anyway...

I actually love Matsuri. We used to be Kotobuki freaks, then Kazu freaks. Now we are Matsuri freaks.

Decent sushi can be found in Stamford not only at the aforementioned Kotobuki on Summer, but also at Republic Grill on Bedford St. Duo has been a past favorite of many on this board, I think it's a little over-hyped, but by all means, give it a shot.
