Best tartar sauce?

I love all seafood, especially fried clams and scallops. IMHO I think that often the tartar sauce can make or break the seafood. It can't be bottled, must be homemade. I especially enjoy a hint of dill. Where is the tastiest tartar sauce in New England?--it goes without saying, the seafood must also be good.
