Hi, I'm in DC for the summer (kind of all over the place, but near U Street for now), and I love Ethiopian food. What are the best places to go to?

Dukem is good, if you like a more lively & noisy atmosphere. Zed's in Georgetown is good if you like it a bit more quiet and intimate. I've found Dukem to be very oily, but extremely delicious.

Dukem, Etete, and Queen Makeda seem to come up on most "best" lists. QM is the easiest of the 3 to get a table during prime dining hours.

I never been, but I hear great things about Dukem on U street....
