Afternoon Tea @ Wittamer, Place du Grand Sablon, Brussels, Belgium
A pretty selection of patisserie for afternoon tea - a living menu, from which I picked raspberries sandwiched in meringue with custard and a inner core of chocolate, resembling a giant marcaron. Gorgeous raspberries, and very light brittle meringue.
Elegant, luxuriant hot chocolate, beautiful chocolate flavour, if a touch too sweet.
A cute trio of mignardises, finely chopped hazelnut in suspended in chocolate, a crisp biscuit and a wonderful bite of white chocolate filled with intense but balanced raspberry flavour.
A good deal for 10 Euros.
