Sangria's Oveido - Worth a visit.
Lately, I've been trying to dine closer to home and to support my "local" businesses. While Circosta's and Stefano's are both reliable, I wanted to try something new. Last night I tried Sangria's. It is located in the same plaza as Cavallari gourmet at the corner of 426 and Red Bug Lake.
Sangria's is a small tapas place that offers a short menu of favorites as well as a paella of the day. For drinks they offer red and white sangria, some nice house wines and a variety of non-alcoholic favorites.
As for the food, the chorizo cooked in wine sauce was flavorful and the shrimp over roasted asparagus was also pretty good. They offered a rounds of warm crusty bread with a light olive oil dip as well. Most of the plates were priced in the 6.95 or 7.95 range.
The service was friendly. It is a pretty intimate set-up with low lighting and small tables as well as a small bar area in the back. Last night they were playing a nice array of Spanish music and they plan to offer live music the 1st and 3rd Saturday of next month.
I'm glad I stopped in and I will definitely head back.
Thanks for the tip. I live in this area and its nice to know there's another good place to visit. Prices sound great as well!

I went there for lunch with my dad a couple of months ago, and we both enjoyed it as well. We had the chorizo in wine, the fried garbanzos and shared a Serrano Ham with manchego cheese sandwich and we were very happy with the quality of the food. I'm glad you enjoyed it as well morganrsg2

update! i went to Sangria's to try it out and was pleased with what I found. I tried out the octopus with vinagrette and it was refreshing, good. The rice was heavenly, i think it was saffron flavored, yellow and soft. I also had the pinchos de carne y chorizo which are basically skewered beef and sausage (a little salty) but goes well with a drink. Nice!
The lady there was nice though she didn't really know English well
