I cleaned it all well, (it already seemed immaculate,) and put in sugar, vanilla, and fresh cream. Then I charged it. Well, the whipped cream tastes STRANGE. Kind of fizzy like soda water. Anyone have any experience with this? I tried shaking the canister more, tried letting it rest for an hour, tried letting it warm up a bit at room temperature. Could it be the old co2? This seems strange, but I can't figure it out. Thoughts? Thanks chowhounders! Sat May 30 17:28:07 -0700 2009 10584 jackie 1 4728794 iSi CO2 is used for carbonating liquid beverages. You need to purchase the iSi cream charger cartridge. It will say CREAM on it. We ruined 3 quarts of whipping cream before we finally figured it out. It tasted absolutely terrible.
