Fresh uncooked Frog legs in the Eastbay?

Fresh uncooked Frog legs in the Eastbay?

I need them for a French Open tennis party.

I know I have seen them somewhere but now I can't remember where?

I'm in Rockridge.

  1. They must be in distribution all of the sudden, because they've been at Falletti in San Francisco now for a couple weeks. Pushing $20 per pound, if I remember.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can purchase fresh frog legs, with the rest of the frog attached, at better quality Chinese markets.

    1. How many do you need? If you don't want to deal with the whole, live frog (I've seen them in several Asian markets in Oakland), you could probably order them from any full-service meat market.

      1. Call A Cote and ask where they get theirs. I had some great ones there the other night.

        1. I'd call the Cafe Rouge meat market, I've had good luck there with uncommon meats.

          1. Believe it or not, if you've got a Lucky Market near you, they carry them. At least they have them at the ones here in Santa Rosa.
