    1. I've been a couple times; once I thought it was mediocre, once I thought it wasn't so good. It's got a nice vibe, a nice place to hang with friends, but the food is really nothing special. I'd stick with the basics, maybe you'll be ok.

Thanks. We've been subjecting the kids to some adult places lately -- Union, East Coast Grill -- so I find WoC's menu appealing in that it offers more choices for them. If we go, I'll report back.

A-ha. Well, just so you know (and i'm sure you do), Union & East Coast Grill are in a different category altogether. West on Centre is fine, I guess, if you live in that 'hood and want a local spot to go to. Wouldn't go out of my way to go there though.

            2. I've been twice with a group of friends and we all enjoyed it, which is why we went back a second time. Lots to choose from, comfy, friendly. The bar area is nice and popular. Daily specials are good. I like the variety of apps. If you have kids I'm sure they'll find something on the large menu. It can get a bit loud in the dining room, that's my only complaint.

West on Centre was perfect for our needs. I would not classify it as "houndworthy," but it was a good place for a group that included a few young kids. I agree that the volume in the dining room was the biggest drawback. But the menu was extensive, the service friendly, and the food decent.

                      Very good lamb burger.

                          My dad loved it!
