Port Aransas Cook-your-catch?

Bat Guano May 28, 2009 07:53 AM

This is assuming I catch some fish, but that's usually a pretty safe bet with the captains at Dolphin Docks. I know there are several places in Port A that will cook your catch, but I also know that some of them are not so good. I only get down there about once a year, and places change, and the last couple of times I haven't had the best experiences.... So, what's the best place for this? After getting off a 12-hour fishing trip, I won't be in the mood to drive very far, so please limit it to Port Aransas proper, if possible. Thanks!

Well, that's not bad advice, but I like fish, too.... especially when it's only a couple of hours out of the water.

Years ago a place called Yankee's cooked some fish for us. It was good.

Wharf was good but are now closed. Fins does it and has great scenery of harbor. We enjoy Castaways and have had our fish cooked there. I will try to think of others. We are going this weekend.

Thanks! I'm going this weekend too. Never tried either Fins or Castaway.
