Girls Night Out in Bay and Queen Area

Any ideas of a good place to go with veggie and fish options that won't break the bank? Anywhere that is about 15-20 minutes walking distance is fine..

Forte Bistro (York and Richmond) has a nice selection of fish and seafood on the menu. Mains are between $18 and $26 on average. They also have a two course pre-theatre menu for $30. I had it last night and enjoyed a great char.

How about Rodney's on Bay? Oysters, chowder, fish n chips, good vibe...?

I'd go with Starfish over Rodney's but that's just a personal pref. :-)

I'd second Nota Bene and third, Starfish.

I'd say Starfish serves much better fish dishes than Nota Bene (not sure about vegetarian options); I've had really overcooked fish dishes at Nota Bene before, whereas Starfish is fairly consistent.

I should have added that my order of recommendations were based soley on the o.p. request for Bay and Queen locale.

Rodney's delivers for less money than Starfish. Of course Starfish is better at all moments except when looking at the bill. Rodney's By Bay is closed Sat & Sun so that may be the biggest factor.

For fear of repeating myself: The Queen Mother. Nice backyard patio if the weather's good. Stick with the Asian stuff, burgers.

          or Harlem for soul food:

This obviously depends on your definition of "break the bank" but ...Nota Bene at Queen and University has rocking fish options.
