We will be cruising in a few months. Getting off the ship in the a.m. Our flight does not leave until 4. After checking in and leaving our bags we would like to have a nice lunch and cocktails somwhere before our flight leaves'. Is there somewhere fairly close with very good or exceptional food. We like any type food.

Bimini Boatyard is very close by.

Coconuts on the water has a nice deck and fairly good food. Bimini Boatyard is mediocre, at best. You could also go to one of the hotels along the beach. Cero at the Ritz Carlton has excellent food. Trina at the Atlantic has a lovely deck and good food, as well. Steak 954 just opened at the W Hotel ( a Stephen Starr restaurant). Also, da Campo, at Il Lugano on the intra-coastal at about 34th street is excellent...A must have is their home-made mozzarella made table side. That's about 10-15 minutes from the port, the furthest of my suggestions.

If you want to stay close to the Port and Airport, another good option is Giorgio's a quaint Italian bistro or Tokyo Sushi both are in the shopping center next to Starbuck's on 17th Street. There is also Anthony's Coal-Fired Pizza just north of the airport on US1/Federal Hwy. Gblcsw had really great suggestions below as well.
