Where to go for 5 Year Anniversary Dinner

  • 6

Please help me find a nice romantic place for a 5 year anniversary. We have a 2 year old and don’t get out much to nice placesw. Looking for some place that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (max $150 for 2 people, 3 course, excluding wine). I am almost 9 months pregnant and looking for someplace romantic. Looking for good quality food, but not so fancy that the portions are tiny. Anywhere in Toronto, or the Markham/Richmond Hill/Vaughan area is good. Last "splurge" we had was at La Reserve in Markham, and we loved it. Looking to try another place.

Thanks!

  1. Since you mentioned that you have a 2 year old, I expect that you will be taking your child with you. You also mention that up north is good. I would recommend the Richmond Grill on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill. The food is very good, the atmosphere is fine to take a 2 year old child and we have always enjoyed it for occasions. They have excellent salmon, veal chops and their liver is delicious. My friends also have enjoyed the pasta dishes. Please let me know if you do go there and if so, enjoy.

I'm going to wager that the 'we have a 2 yr old' comment has more to do with their level of 'going out-ness' than the fact that they are going to bring the kid along.

    2. Have you eaten at Scaramouche?
There is a Spring Lobster special on till June 4. Look here for more details:

It's $58 pp so it may be slightly more than $150, but it will probably be worth it.
I'm assuming the 2 year old isn't coming along for dinner as it sounds to me you are having an evening to yourselves.

I really like Zucca, as they are super nice, and if you tell them it is an Anniversary, I am sure they will acknowledge it.
We were there last week, and they serve fresh seasonal products when possible, our sides were ramps, and they had three types of Asparagus on the menu.
The warm Asparagus Mushroom Salad was perfect.
They always have a couple of homemade Pastas, and excellent fresh Whole Fish, as well as Grilled Cornish Hen, etc.
You should have no problem staying within your budget.
They are on Yonge just south of Eglinton.

      2. Thanks! We will not be bringing our 2 year old, would be nice to get out. That lobster special sounds amazing, unfortunately it ends thursday and we cant get out before then.
