Romantic dinner for two Scottsdale

We're in for a brief business trip but am meeting DW there this Friday and want something that's intimate, food-centric, something of an "occasion" restaurant. Currently holding reservation at Mosaic, but have seen reccs for Zinc Bistro, T Cooks, and according to Open Table can still get in to either. In general I try to patronize independent, non-hotel restaurants but if T Cooks is really that fabulous then I'd certainly consider it. Any suggestions?

When I think of "occasion restaurant" and "food-centric," Binkley's in the first thing to come to mind. It's the obvious choice, but there's a reason for it. This will take you outside of Scottsdale a bit but, judging by your interest in T. Cooks (Phoenix), I assume you don't mind travelling.

I've always really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Zinc, but wouldn't call it an "occasion restaurant." Haven't been to T. Cooks or Mosaic, so someone else will have to shed some light on the two. If you do a search, though, there should be an abundance of opinions/reviews--especially for T. Cooks--to give you an idea of what to expect.

There are 2 other threads running currently asking basically the same thing.

T.Cooks is EXCELLENT, see this thread for more info:
