Recommendations for dining in the Ottawa Valley (Pembroke, Renfrew, Arnprior, etc)

Can anyone recommend any place to dine in the Ottawa Valley? Any price range, any style.

On Hwy 60 , in Deacon, is a hotel called the sands on Golden Lake. We have eaten there and the food is very good. The restaurant overlooks Golden lake and the scenery is remarkable

I can attest to the scenery. Beautiful. (It's been years since I've eaten there; when it was Golden Sands??).

I'm not much help, but here are some places to consider:

My parents love The Granary in Eganville. I have memories of it from when I was younger and it was pretty tasty. But I personally have no idea if it still stands up:

I have had the pierogies (and the homemade mustard, but not together) from The Wilno Tavern and they are fabulous. Apparently much of the food is really tasty.

Thanks. I had heard of the Wilno Tavern. We will check it out.

          No worries.

If you like buttertarts, they are really good at the general store in Palmer Rapids. I think there is one general store in the town, so it's not hard to find. (Not the best I've every had, but good).

Wes' Chip Truck in Arnprior is legendary, over 40 years I think. If you go to Eganville pick up some chesea buns at the IGA, so yummy.

The chelsea buns at the grocery in Killaloe aren't so bad either. Yum.
