KG Sushi Train

  • 2

When Korea Garden first started this, I was thrilled. I was able to try some really interesting rolls at a fraction of the cost (smaller portions, lower prices) and get a lot of variety, plus it was just fun.

However, the last few times I've been, and I've been there by 11:30, the train's been a rollin' for a while and the sushi just isn't that great when it's been sitting out for a while. I just find it not worth going anymore.

I'd rather pay my $14 and go to Mikado and know I'm going to get a really special, fresh roll made just for me when I order it.

Anyone else lost the love for the train?

  1. ditto.

on the other hand, it has encouraged me to try the bulgogi the last couple times i went. pretty good.

    1. I actually just tried this today for the first time. It sounded like a fun lunch excursion, and it was exactly that....no more, no less. I saw the same chocolate pie and sushi rolls going around the sushi train for the entire hour I was there. It made me reluctant to select my sushi. There needs to be some way that they monitor the time that fish is on there. On the other hand, it is a fun atmosphere and it's true "you get what you pay for."
