New to Jersey City Area
Just moved to Jersey City from Nassau County, LI area - enjoying the new 'hood...but somewhat dissapointed in food choices. So far the hubby and I love Taqueria Downtown, Beechwood and Ibbys. But mainly we are troubled by the lack of good pizza joints and we want a couple more standbys that are not too expensive...any suggestions?

My favorites are Cafe Rustique on Jersey Ave for a different kind of brick oven pie with store made cheese, Carmine's on Brunswick for your standard NY style pizza. I prefer Buon Appetito on Manila for delivery entrees but don't love the pizza. Avoid Helen's and Stella's at all costs. There's also a John's (of NYC fame) in Paulus Hook, but the reviews haven't been great. Yet to try it myself.
