    1. Oceanaire has the biggest best asparagus I have seen in a while. They serve it plain, but steamed perfectly.

Fogo de Chao has gigantic asparagus. It's funny to look at, but didn't taste all that great to me.

Palomino has an asparagus with fried egg and feta that is very good. To me, asparagus is a veggie you DO something with, like bok choy.

      2. It's an occasional dish, so you should check their menu -- Broder's Pasta Bar does a really nice appetizer of grilled asparagus tossed with a bit of olive oil, lemon zest, and dill. It's simple but really good.

        1. Last september as an amuse bouche at Fugaise we were served an amazing cold asparagus soup with marcona almonds and herb oil that was so good i could have eaten about 40 of the demitasse cups it came in.

          sniff sniff.

sorry, i thought the sniffling about its demise was obvious. didn't intend to mislead anyone.

          2. Cafe Levain's asparagus dish with charred asparagus and local mushrooms is out of this world.
