Early Morning Weekday Breakfast/Brunch in Park Slope

I have friends coming into town for a very brief stay on their way back to Europe. Since they have to be on their way to the airport at 10AM we wanted to grab some early morning brunch somewhere. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a place that serves breakfast around 8AM-ish? We're in South Park Slope and would prefer a place we could walk to.

  1. Your best bet is Dizzy's on 9th Street and 8th Avenue. They open at 7 a.m. weekdays and serve up tasty American breakfast classics, along with a few more Euro options like Teo's eggs: Brioche, parmesan, basil, & olive oil with a poached egg.

    1. Dizzy's is a great breakfast and an awesome suggestion. BUT (there is always a but isn't there...?) but if I were leaving NYC for a while, I would want a bagel breakfast. I love the bagels at la Bagel Delight across from the hospital. There is also a great bagel place on 13th and 7th (8th Ave.)

The downside to this is no seats but that is my 2 cents worth..

Ah, that's a good suggestion. I'm fond of the Bagel place at 5th Ave and 17th street, which does have some seating. Still, something posher might be better for Euro friends...

      2. nowhere near you but Egg in Williamsburg has breakfast that early I believe.

        1. 'Snice has a great bowl of oatmeal with dried fruit -- it's on 5th Ave. around 2nd or 3rd st. They have vegetarian and egg options too that I've not tried.

I like Cousin John's bakery for breakfast. If you sit upstairs you can see the bakers in action too. Berkeley & 7th.
