Donkey- Beijing

I have no interest in trying Donkey, my traveling companion is obsessed with having it. Is there somewhere we can go where I can get some good food and he can try Donkey? We are going to be staying in the Dongcheng district.

    go for dumplings. Then everyone can be happy. thre is a place that serves donkey dumplings that is east of the forbidden city, west of wangfujing and I think on the same street as the Day's inn. Can't recall name though I believe its listed in the Lonely Planet guide. anyrate, they have VERY tasty dumplings including donkey which my mother in law said were not half bad...........

      Donkey is quite good, actually : )

      Haven't eaten it in the capital but searching for a specific food item in an area is one of the things dianping does best, so based on that I would try this place.

      http://www.dianping.com/shop/2405632/...

      He can eat donkey sandwiches (lu huo) or donkey innard soup (lu za tang).

      The address line is 王胖子驴肉火烧 东城区东四北大街92号(近十三条

      )

      Most of the well rated places appear to specialize in donkey and not have many other things available , but it's a snack restaurant so would be easy to pick up one of the sandwiches to go and then go in search of other street food or snacks.
