Kingyo offers a special tasting menu from 5:30 to 6:30pm Monday through Thursday. Cost is $25pp and the matching sake pairing with 3 sakes is an add'l $20. The card shows the following: appetizer trio of seared scallop with fresh salsa and edamame sauce, deep fried prawn and jasmine tea leaves and cheese potato croquette with home made tomato sauce. Salad course is boiled sesame chicken salad. Main is albacore tuna steak with 3 kind of Japanese pepper sauces or stone grilled duck breast with lemon sesame salt sauce and Korean-style BBQ sauce. Dessert choices include house-made chestnut gelato or house-made yuzi gelato. Sakes include "You's time," "Kingyo Junmai" and "Bizen Omachi Junmai Daiminjo." Not sure anyone has tried their tasting menu, but based on what we ate last night, this looks like a pretty good deal! We're headed to Hapa later tonight.
