Baja Grill in Wormtown/Worcester
Thanks to the chowhounds who alerted me to this way cool spot. Located in a lower income quiet part of Worc. this little gem is worthy of your attention. We arrived Sunday at 3 for a pre birthday luncheon. The place is sparkling clean and the staff so attentive and welcoming. We loved the homemade tortilla chips and two salsas. We had a lovely Mexican soda and enjoyed the nice traditional music. Mom chose chicken enchiladas and I had the pollo en mole. Mom's was an app but it came with rice, salad and we shared pico de gallo, homemade amazing guac, frijoles a la charra and refried beans. The food was fabulous. The seasoning perfect and the presentation artful. The house treated Mom to a tres leche bollo with a candle. The bill 22.00 plus tip.
Please support this eatery. Their luncheon specials are 5.95 each. This is beyond absurd. The best authentic Mexican I have enjoyed in years...please try it..
LOVE THIS PLACE..wish I lived closer ...

We discovered this place about a year ago and have gone back at least monthly. If you like Mexico-style, rather than Tex-Mex, you'll love this restaurant's offerings. We've sampled the cochinita pibil, enchiladas, tacos al pastor, chicken with mole, sopes, queso fundido, and burrito -- and loved them all! And the BYOB option is a real plus!
