What happened to Hollingers?
Keep meaning to ask, seeing the sale sign in the window when I pass by the place on Coxwell.
I wasn't overwhelmed by the makeover when I was there, but can just imagine the improvement from what was previously there. The meals were decent so I suppose there were other reasons behind the closure.

It's too bad it didn't work for them. I went in with the family one weeknight. They were absolutely dead. They had lots of amusements for my son and barely charged us for his burger and fries. They had good selections on the tap and the food was honest. But yes, they did suffer from the location's history. Great wings too.

http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/599047I feel sorry for the owners. Always meant to check it out after they took over but never got a chance to. It must have something to do with the economic downturn and plus, as someone says in that thread link, it was always "bar" bar before and maybe people didn't realize there was something new going on there.

re: JamieK
JamieK,
Thanks for the link and update.
Like I said, I had a sense of what the place was before the makeover but aside from that the one experience I had there was all good -- the nicely presented and tasty food, friendly service, and reasonable price.
If the place closed as a result of previous prejudices, it would be a shame.
