We may take the Beagle down to the dog beach in Huntington Beach Sunday or Monday. Any suggestions for dog-friendly breakfast/brunch/lunch near that section of beach?

Try the Park Bench Cafe. It's located in Central Park off Goldenwest and Slater. Not too far to dog beach, you can just take Goldenwest down to PCH. I like to take my dog to lunch every once in a while and here is where we go. They have a separate menu for dogs, so Molly can have Rover Easy or a Bow Wow Wow and I get to enjoy a Monte Cristo at one of the few places where you can find this decadent sandwich. The park is also dog friendly and a nice place to walk around. They have a lake with ducks and lots of squirells running around. The food is alway good, the service is usually very friendly and the prices are moderate. www.parkbenchcafe.com

Another option - pets welcome (on the patio) at The Good Day Cafe - 4911 Warner Ave. Huntington Beach, west of Bolsa Chica, at Green St. Ask for the "Dog Menu."
This is not close to a park, but the local folks bring their pets with them. Breakfast and Lunch served. Lots of tasty menu selections for the humans too!

See my post under "OC Good Day Cafe - Yummy" for more info.
