My family and I will be spending some time in the Monterey/Carmel area, and I'm hoping to find some good fish tacos in the area. Can anyone recommend their favorite spots? Grilled fish, fried fish, I'm game for anything. I'm not familiar with the food scene in this part of the country, so any and all recommendations are welcome! (I'm also spending some time in SF, so I'd be happy to explore there, too!) Thanks!

Peppers Mexican restaurant in Pacific Grove. Last time we ate there, I had wonderful grilled swordfish tacos.

For better responses, you should post your San Francisco questions on that board.

In Monterey, try also Lopez Restaurante y Cantina near the Monterey Post office. Family run and first-rate foods including one or two fish taco selections.

Another great one is Turtle Bay - they have two locations, one downtown Monterey a block off Alvarado Street (which is the main downtown one-way drag) and another in Seaside on Fremont Street. They have a variety of fish tacos and their salsas are excellent!
