Vegan in Cape Town?!

Hi! I'll be spending a semester in Cape Town (July-November) at the university there and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any restaurants that have good (or just edible, really) vegan dishes. I'm looking to spend as little as possible, so am more interested in somewhere casual for maybe lunch or dinner with a small group. I'm just worried that I won't be able to find anything to order when eating out... I won't have a car of my own, and I'll be in Western Cape, so I guess anything within walking distance of the university?? Or I could take a cab? I'm not really sure what to expect, so I apologize if this sounds totally weird.... :)
