Most Authentic Indian/Pakistani Place in LA?

Assuming you are not going to Artesia, what are your options in LA? I'm beginning to get despondent....

In Venice/Marina Del Rey: Agra on Lincoln Blvd. near Washington Blvd. Hole in the wall with little street appeal, but great food.

Great vegetarian/vegan Indian at Samosa House on Washington in Culver City/Mar Vista. I really like their samosas - I'm a fried carb fiend.

Mayura on Venice in Culver City has a good rep. I can only recommend it not from experience but because the owner's grand daughter goes to our kids' school. He's told me that he does travel back to India once a month to two months to get certain ingredients for his place.

second samosa house, they are on my regular rotation.
be aware that they often have a stash of banana/mango/pistachio soup hidden behind the counter. be sure to ask for it.
        also, their jackfruit is terrific.
generally speaking their spicing is excellent--not necessarily hot-spicy, but deep and complex.

Al Noor and Al Watan are both good. For something on the westside, there's Chutney's on Pico. They have a mix of Indo-Pak stuff (I like their nehari). I like the masala dosas at India Sweets and Spices on Venice.

Al Noor and Al Watan for Pakastani cuisine. Both are in the South Bay.
