Chow from MPLS to Chicago

Taking a road trip from MPLS to Chicago, through Madison not Milwaukee. I tried searching for previous threads on this - I'm sure there've been a few - but had no luck.

So, I'm in need of one good recommendation for something chowish and cheapish for lunch on the trip down. Ideas? I've always done fast food before.

TIA

Made the same trek a few months ago and stopped at Monty's Blue Plate Diner. I had breakfast that day which was pretty good, but I dream of stopping back for the baked goods.

if you care to venture into Madison (providing you get there by lunchtime), I would recommend TeddyWedgers at 101 State Street
(very near the capital building). Very popular cornish pasty shop and right up there on the cheap/inexpensive scale. And very quick in and out, providing there isn't a long line
